DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
DIRECTIONS
From North Bay/Golden Gate Bridge:
Follow the bridge onto Lombard Street/101, and go RIGHT onto GOUGH Street. Follow GOUGH uphill 9 blocks, and turn LEFT onto WASHINGTON, then LEFT onto FRANKLIN – we’ll be in the middle of the block on the left-hand side.
From the East Bay/Oakland Bay Bridge:
Take 9th St/Civic Center exit, which will put you onto Harrison Street. At bottom of off ramp, Follow to the left, 1 block, then turn RIGHT onto 9th Street. Stay in a left lane, so that you will be on HAYES when you cross Market Street. Hayes is ~1.3 miles north, on Franklin.

From the Peninsula:
From 280N, merge onto 101N – head for the left lane. Take the 101N/Golden Gate Bridge/Civic Center exit (the far left lane will become this exit). Bear left to take the Octavia/Fell Street exit. After crossing Market, go three blocks & turn RIGHT at OAK Street, go two blocks, and turn LEFT onto FRANKLIN Street. We are ~1.2 miles north, on Franklin.

Express Parking - 1650 Jackson St. between Van Ness and Polk. Mid-block on north side of Jackson St., a one-way, west-bound street. 415 359-0399

*Located between Polk and Van Ness. Sacramento is a one-way, west-bound street.

There is metered/street parking in the area. Pay attention to posted day and time limits.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

BUS: We are near Muni bus lines: 1, 12, 19, 27, 47 & 49.
BART: Exit at Civic Center station. From there, you might decide to either take a cab/ride share or walk to Van Ness Avenue and catch a northbound bus. Get off at Jackson St, and walk one block west to Franklin – the Haas-Lilienthal House is mid-block on the west side between Jackson and Washington Sts.
CABLE CAR: We are located 4 blocks from the end of the California Street cable car line. If you take BART from the East Bay, exit at Embarcadero station, hop onto the cable car at California and Drumm Streets, heading west, to the end of the line at Van Ness. Walk 1 block west (uphill) to Franklin, then 3.5 blocks north (flat).
